Handcrafted soap is not the same as store bought soap. It does not contain synthetic preservatives and chemical laden hardeners, because of this it requires a little different care in order to get maximum lifespan from each bar. 

How to care for:

• Don't let your soap sit in water. Built in soap dishes are notorious for that.

• Make sure your soap dries out inbetween uses. The drier it gets, the longer it will last.

• Store your soap in a well drained soap dish at all times. This allows water to drain away and air to circulate around the bar.

• Use a cotton wash cloth or loofah to extend the bar rather than rubbing the bar all over yourself.

• Use your soap within 12 months of purchase. Since it does not contain perservatives it does have a shelf life. 

• Store unused soap in a dark and dry place that will not have drastic temperature fluctuations (like a lingerie drawer or linen closet). Excessive heat, light, and moisture are natural soap's worst enemies.
